Liberal author and YouTuber Leigh McGowan gave the most outrageous defense of Joe Biden pardoning Hunter Biden in a recent appearance on CNN’s NewsNight with Abby Phillips.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, Joe Biden issued a full and unconditional pardon to his son, Hunter Biden, on Sunday, absolving him of any federal crimes committed between 2014 and 2024.
Hunter was facing federal tax fraud charges in California and felony gun charges in Delaware, but the sweeping pardon denies prosecution for any crime he may have committed. This includes the cocaine found in the White House, any financial crimes, and the Biden family’s influence peddling that Hunter was involved in since he joined Ukraine energy firm Burisma’s board of directors in 2014.

This comes after Biden, the White House, high-ranking Democrats, and the leftwing media lied for months and said Hunter Biden wouldn’t receive a pardon, citing their respect for the rule of law.
However, “the circumstances have changed” now that Trump is President-elect, said Leigh McGowan when Abby Philips asked if Biden lied about not pardoning Hunter.
McGowan continued, “We now have a president coming into office who’s talking about firing squads, who’s talking about running people around the country and making sure that everyone who’s his enemy is going to be punished.”
This statement appears to be in reference to one of the latest fake news hoaxes, claiming that Trump threatened RINO Liz Cheney with a firing squad days before the election. As The Gateway Pundit reported, Trump called Cheney out for being a war hawk and supporting endless wars as long as she doesn’t have to be on the front lines in a bloody battle.
“She’s a radical war hawk. Let’s put her with a rifle standing there with 9 barrels shooting at her, okay? Let’s see how she feels about it,” said President Trump, obviously referring to the front lines of a war. Still, the leftist media and Liz Cheney herself pushed a hoax pretending that Trump was threatening to execute her.
Now, Leigh McGowan is trying to revive the easily debunked rumor that Trump is going to put his political enemies in front of a firing squad. What an idiot!
McGowan then ironically pointed to Trump’s BS politicized indictment for tax fraud while trying to argue that Trump is going to punish his political enemies.

And Hunter Biden lied about his drug use on a government form when he was buying a gun, and he failed to file and pay taxes when he was a drug addict. He paid back those taxes with interest. Donald Trump himself was indicted for 17 counts of criminal tax fraud; more than Hunter, and he’s going to be the President of the United States.
