President Donald Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth have unveiled plans for a record-breaking $1 trillion defense budget.
This landmark proposal signifies the administration’s unwavering commitment to national defense and global leadership.
During a press conference alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President Trump emphasized the necessity of this substantial investment.
Trump:
“We have great things happening with our military. We also essentially approved a budget, which is in the facility — you’ll like to hear this — of a trillion dollars. One trillion dollars. And nobody’s seen anything like it.
We have to build our military, and we’re very cost-conscious. But the military is something that we have to build, and we have to be strong because you’ve got a lot of bad forces out there now.
So, we’re going to be approving a budget — and I’m proud to say, actually, it’s the biggest one we’ve ever done for the military.”

Defense Secretary Hegseth echoed the President’s sentiments, highlighting the administration’s focus on efficiency and readiness.
In a post on social media platform X, Hegseth announced, “COMING SOON: the first TRILLION dollar @DeptofDefense budget. President @realDonaldTrump is rebuilding our military — and FAST. (PS: we intend to spend every taxpayer dollar wisely — on lethality and readiness).”
Thank you Mr. President!

According to Politico, “The number would be a significant increase from the $892 billion funding Congress allocated for national defense programs this year, which includes the Pentagon, nuclear weapons development and security programs at other agencies. It also comes as the armed services seeks to cut 8 percent of their individual budgets and reinvest the money in modernization efforts.”
In January, President Donald Trump signed an executive order initiating the development of a missile defense system modeled after Israel’s renowned Iron Dome. This initiative aims to create a “state-of-the-art Iron Dome missile defense shield” to protect the United States from various aerial threats.
The order emphasizes the need to protect against evolving threats from ballistic, hypersonic, and cruise missiles, as well as other advanced aerial attacks.
After years of watching the radical left weaken our nation, Trump and Hegseth are delivering what conservatives have demanded: a military that’s feared, not mocked. The message to our adversaries is clear: America’s awake, armed, and ready to lead again.
