Steve Bannon discusses President Trump’s America First agenda with Tariffs. 1/31/25
War Room founder Steve Bannon discussed on Friday President Trump’s America First agenda regarding tariffs to protect the interests of the United States and its citizens.
Bannon had commented that since President Trump has taken office, he has taken non-stop action to pass his America First agenda.
“President Trump action, days of thunder,” Bannon said.
“Just when you think you have seen so much, there is more and more and more and more,” Bannon continued.
“Today on the economic side, these tariffs. This is monumental. Now it may be a negotiating ploy, it may be a lot of things. What we know is that President Trump is trying to change the basic economic model of the country,” Bannon said.
Bannon said that President Trump is encouraging economic growth within the United States, offering incentives to create jobs in the US.
“What he is signaling to people is that we are gonna return to becoming a manufacturing powerhouse. That we are gonna do that two ways. Number one, we are gonna offer you the opportunity to move your plant and your capital equipment here and hire American Citizens. Make your products here, sell them here and you won’t face tariffs,” Bannon said.
“But if you don’t do that, there is gonna be substantial tariffs and we are going to protect certain industries,” Bannon continued.
Bannon also talked about President Trump and his focus on making sure the US dollar is a priority to protect the economy.
“President Trump is very, very focused on the US dollar. He is very focused on the dollar as the prime reserve currency. He understands how it was abused by the elites in this country,” Bannon said.
“They are gonna defend it as a prime reserve currency. They are not gonna let the dollar be destroyed,” Bannon continued.
“If you start a system away from the US dollar, we will essentially consider that an act of economic war,” Bannon commented on Trump’s economic policies.
“If you do that, you are gonna get a 100 percent tariff of getting anything into the United States,” Bannon continued.
