A Colorado Democrat who ran twice for Congress and almost defeated Lauren Boebert has ripped his party’s toxic political brand.
Adam Frisch, who almost defeated Rep. Lauren Boebert in 2022 and ran again unsuccessfully in 2024, said in an interview with The Wall Street Journal that the party’s brand was in the toilet.
The Journal reported from the election of the new chairs of the Democratic National Committee in Maryland:
All of the candidates could agree that the situation facing the party is dire.
The Democratic brand is in the toilet, with a recent Wall Street Journal poll showing 60% of Americans view the party unfavorably while only 36% see it favorably.
Democrats lost ground with nearly every demographic group last November, including minorities, women, low-income voters and those without college degrees.
“Twenty big cities, Aspen and Martha’s Vineyard—that’s what’s left of the Democratic Party,” lamented former congressional candidate Adam Frisch.
“And I’m not exactly sure those 20 big cities are getting the best version of the Democratic Party.”
Frisch, who lives in Aspen, ran in a red district in rural Colorado; he overperformed the top of the ticket but still fell short.
However, it is worth noting that Frisch has always styled himself as a moderate Democrat.
Speaking with local media ahead of the 2022 midterms, he described himself as “a pro-business, pro-energy, moderate, pragmatic Democrat” who “can build coalitions and get stuff done.”
Meanwhile, The Gateway Pundit reported that Frisch was caught having sex in a storage locker with a woman he was having an affair with.
The lurid act was reportedly caught on camera and then later used to blackmail Frisch into changing his vote on the Aspen City Council regarding an important multi-million dollar transportation project.

Nevertheless, his current assessment of the situation the Democratic Party finds itself in is pretty spot on.
Yet, given the outcome of the race to lead the Democratic National Committee, there are currently no signs that the party plans to learn any lessons from the past four years.
